A bit early for Thurso shore fishing but the beaches should have a few flats about; try Thurso beach in the town centre or Sandside to the west. A slim chance of an early bass on Dunnet beach. Pm me nearer the time and I'll let you know aht's happening.

The spike is probably for digging into the sand in place of a monopod
