  1. But he can be prosecuted once he becomes an ex president, surely.
  2. OK, let's carry on with my derangement. Firstly, I provided proof of collusion, which was conveniently ignored. Secondly, collusion is a synonym for conspiracy. There may well be no law against collusion but there certainly is a law against conspiracy. "Conspiracy with a hostile foreign power to interfere with US elections." Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
  3. At the moment it is his senate and house majority, but that may change fairly soon.
  4. Offence is like pain, it's specific to the individual. Just as you can not tell someone else how much pain they feel, so you can't tell anyone else how much offense they should take. If I find something offensive, then I will be offended to one degree or another. How offended I feel is entirely up to me and no one else can or should dictate how offended I should be.
  5. Proof? The meeting happened and the people who were said to be there, were actually there. Proven. The meeting was agreed and arranged on the basis that the Russians had "dirt" on Hillary Clinton and wanted to share it with the Trump team. Written evidence for this, so proven. (That in itself is collusion) Did Trump know about the meeting before hand? On the balance of probabilities it has to be yes, but not yet proven, given the calls immediately before and after to the "blocked" number.. This may change soon when Cohen gets into his stride. It's odds on that Guiliani will let it out of the bag anyway, before long. Did Trump know about it afterwards. Too many eyewitnesses on AF1 so proven. Not sure what further proof is necessary. Much less proof than this could get you executed in the States.
  6. Out of interest Keeping his campaign promises - Really? https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/trumpometer/browse/?page=4
  7. From the Cambridge English Dictionary Collusion - agreement between people to act together secretly or illegally in order to deceive or cheat someone: If the meeting in Trump tower wasn't collusion, then what was it? They tried to keep it secret but were too incompetent for that. It was so innocent that Trump himself dictated a load of lies to explain it away. Did he know before? Almost certainly Did he know afterward? Obviously Is he lieing now? Of course
  8. I see that Guiliani is changing emphasis from "no collusion" to "collusion isn't a crime" Wonder why that might be? Also, the Trump is now saying that the Russians are helping the Democrats in the mid terms as "No one has been tougher on Russia than Trump" Just how stupid does he think his supporters are. Do they really believe this?
  9. After yet another twitter storm it is apparent that Trump is determined to discredit Mueller, even before he says anything. A strange reaction from an innocent man with nothing to fear. As for Trump winning a second term, there was just one person who won the election for Trump in 2016 - Hilary Clinton - and I don't think even the Democrats would make that mistake again.
  10. Speaking of which, I see that failed US nazi and supremacist about town Steve Bannon is coming to start a movement in Europe. That will give Farage something to crow about. Someone should tell him it has been tried in the past.
  11. I think we may have differing definitions. I am often offended without being annoyed.
  12. Sorry John, but I don't think that you choose to be offended. It either offends you or it doesn't. What you choose is whether to do anything about the fact. I find some of the language used in this thread offensive, but not to the point that I would react to it.
  13. I didn't suggest it did, I was just pointing out that Ken's post was comparing apples with oranges. Of course, if you take into consideration the 1.4M new voters who have come of age since the referendum and of course, however many voters have died since the referendum and what either group might have voted for. Then, of course, all the leavers who have changed their minds and all of the remainers who have changed their minds and all those who no longer give a toss and wouldn't bother voting again, the conclusion is inescapable. Nobody has the faintest idea what the outcome of any subsequent referendum might be and using two year old figures proves nothing.
  14. Agreed But when you add in the 16,141,241 that voted remain it looks a lot closer.
  15. If we have a second referendum and remain win, wouldn't it be only fair if we make it best out of three?
  16. I am sure that Trump will be judged at the end of his term.... and then imprisoned, along with the rest of his family.
  17. It's OK 'cos we've got a special relationship. Mr Trump said so.
  18. My feeling is if they were executed I would be disappointed. Not at their death but at the manner of it. All of us are going to die and many of us won't have the luxury of a quick clean death. I would like to see them locked up and forgotten about.
  19. Wasn't it Farage who said "we will abide by the result, but if it is close, like 52% to 48% (remain) then that would be unfinished business" Yes, of course it was.
  20. chesters1 what makes you think that the EU needs a deal more than you do?
  21. Oh come on, Trump played more golf in the first 6 months than Obama did in 8 years. He came to the UK for four days and spent two of them playing golf and then chargerd the British taxpayers £50,000 for the priviledge. BTW, Trump declared bankruptcy 6 times. Good way of not having to pay your bills, although he didn't do that very often either. When will people stop trying to excuse the inexcusable?
  22. Economy growing under Obama, particularly black unemployment. Trump just riding the trend, for as long as it lasts. Economy under threat from trade wars. No progress on N. Korea, apart from Kim claiming great victory. As for elections, let's wait and see what happens later this year. Trump may not be around by 2020
  23. Putin is not seeking cordial relations with the USA. Never has. No wonder he was smirking all through Trump's treasonous speech. One day we may find out just what hold Putin has over Trump. As one commentator put it "Putin has a great big cheque from Trump in his pocket and one day he will cash it" First thoughts are that would just be America's problem, but it isn't is it?
  24. I agree John He has said and done many things that in normal times would have prevented his being elected or ended his Presidency, so obviously these are not normal times in the US. It does make you wonder when Americans in general and Republicans in particular will say enough is enough. He is obviously unfit to be president, but that has always been the case.
