  1. Sorry forgot one How many of you go fishing??? Just go and watch them in a lake and leave them to swim and feed safely!!!!! You all make your own choise's so why pick one piece of tec! and slate it (just like bite alarms and powerful rods, with pit reel's) They are new tec! newer than baitboats. They help u get further into a lake where befor it was out of reach? Where do u all draw a line????
  2. I own a bait boat/A smart cast and lots of other fishing toys! Been watching the post and having a giggle . How many of u use bite alarms???? A piece of silver foil will do!!!! How many use carbon fibre rods Cane or glass fibre will do!!! How many use a bivvie? A tarp will do!!!!
  3. I was thinking more of who had the rod with the smart cast on the end keeping the tention thus stopping the lines crossing
  4. Rab's you forgot to include your part in the plan

  13. Any rig item is a potental Death rig when not used corectly. I have flying backleads myself and use them when i need this time being when i know the bottom is up and down and is in conjunction with a captive. Or when fishing the margin with slack lines and indicators As for my rigs its all part of the master plan Gona use the offer and use Rabster's bait
  14. True but a leader of leadcore or as u use heavy tube does the same, without the extra weight of a lead bouncing on the line Or in our case drop stitching
  15. Evening Ant Theory is spot on but with the captive system it can be attatched and released in a second. the flying type swing and slide on your line when playing a fish all putting more preasure on that all too delicate hook hold?????? As do the type Rab's posted i pikky of
  16. Sorry Polly never read you post proper and probably never explained too clear as well. You only pull the rod back and release some slack line so u can attatch the back lead and then position the back lead where u want. Dont know how far into the lake u want the backlead to go? The captiv system has about 12ft of cord on them. This is to reduce the chance of a fish wiping out your other rods when u get it near the net. Read this its easyier than reading my dribble They are a good piece of gear bud http://www.foxint.com/catalogues-products....gue=1&section=1 [ 14. April 2005, 06:13 PM: Message edited by: dazler ]
  17. Polly Flying back leads are designed more for short range margin fishing with light indicators and slack lines for anything more i use captives.
  18. Evening Polly I just happen to own the pod and captive backlead system u are refering to. You attach a cross bar to the pod under the front buzz bars which has 3 or 4 quick release clips on with which u attatch the backlead cord to.The backlead itself has a gate release system exactly the same as fox's Mk2 Swinger's. You make your cast then with the bailarm still open, pull the rod back over your head releasing enough line so you can grab your mainline.Attatch the backlead then let it slide down your line and onto the lakebed. You can vary the length of the backlead cord to suit the depth of water infront of you and it stores neatly on a winder. Excelent backlead system as it works off the angle of the line and not a tention clip Hope this helps and not confuses u more
