  1. Forecast seems to be moderating. Think we should be able to find a resonably sheltered spot somewhere along the shore.

Sorry, but how does that help you stop your teeth falling out
  8. Well said Andrew. Been biten by Ebay myself and just dont go there anymore.
  9. Fish almost exclusively with Rhino (Browning) teles (£18) had bull huss up to 9lb no probs. Highly recommend them. Just damaged 2 of mine but both were down to my own stupid fault. Stainless steel fittings so ideal for saltwater. Only prob I have had with the design is that fine braid can wrap around the rings and get caught. To date this has resulted in one crack off. But again probably due to a lack of concentration on my part. Great for float, lure and spinning. Easy to manage when on the yak and much safer during landing and launch.
  10. How about a Llangorse Paella? All local ingredients welcome including any tarts that are passed their sell by date
  11. Da mnya tavarisch. Dont panic about the moustache we dont mind, you can always shave it off

My thoughts Stu but Im willing to be corrected. Certainly not much of a scare area around the Yak I have had a pout jump into it, a bass swim alongside it, terns dive around it and a sole dive off of it.
  13. The ideal length is easy just make sure your reach allows the rod tip to pass line around the bow. Don't go to long as managing the rod then becomes a problem. On my Scupper I need 8ft rods being a short a,,,e. I can just about manage 7'6". Somebody taller might get away with 7ft.
  14. The one time you were happy not to catch anything
  15. Well done chaps! Cracking day out by the looks of things.
  16. Fancy falling out of a Caper Dangerous, highly unstable yaks. Personally would never fish in more than 4ft of water in one...... Just for the record also blanked on SOuthampton Water. Good news is I fished next to a small Dory that was in a boat comp. He was as successful as I was. A bit fat ZERO.
  17. Fair Doos! Does this mean you intend to paddle round the world single handed
  18. 10/0s! When are the Orcas in?
  19. If it was develped for military use aviod it like the plague
  20. Spanner Im the worlds biggest Gortex fan having tried just about everything else for the mountains and always endng back at the damn stuff. My credit card still bears the scars but (did you feel that coming) unless they have done something to the fabric Gortex and salt water aren't normally good bedfellows. Things might have changed but it may be worth checking its long term suitability before spending the dosh.
  21. Check out xcweather.co.uk they seem to get it more or less right. Hope in this case thay have it wrong. Wind not due to really drop untill midday Sunday. Suits me as I fancy a bit of flounder bashing in the Solent but not sure its what you wanted.
  22. JUst re -checked, its now gusting to force seven (35 mph)
