i live right beside it and talk to most people who fish it. if you gave me more info eg: type of car, where you live, name, i would probably know you.

The tench season will be starting in a few months and i would like to gather a few tips. Any good ones?

i live in county monaghan, ireland and live just down the road from a carp fishery which is quite lucky as there aren't many carp fisheries in ireland. i didn't get to fish it yet but i am goin to try it this year. i have seen a picture in a local tackle dealer of a carp an english man caught in it and it weighed over 20lbs which is MASSIVE in ireland. not many people have caught it but this was a good few years ago it was caught so it could be a lot bigger now. the irish record is around 23lbs from a lake in county cork but i think that carp i was just talking about could have beaten it now.

Is this not ment to be a coarse fishing forum?

good catch, well done! i reckon you will never stop chasing the tench after getting a few.

i live in ireland so there are no bans at all which means i can use whatever bait i want

1 tench caught last week. are you not fishing any more this year?

i have often caught tench with horific pike marks on them

my best session was a 2 hour session 2 years ago when i was just starting fishing. i caught 9 tench on expander pellets. the fishing has gone down in the past couple of years as all the eastern europeans are taking them and eating them. my best this year was an early morning struggle when i caught 6.

i'm 15, and when a few men come in when i'm on my own, i am a little scared because of all these attacks you hear of

me and my dad were talking to a fisherman at our lake. we were getting on good when suddenly, for no reason, he threw a heavy metal chair at my dad. then threatened us using very foul language. you just don't know whats going to happen next.
