  1. Essex don,t know if it makes me better or not, Johnson Outdoors are aranging to have my P13 collected at their cost and a new P15 in yellow at my door this thursday/friday. Also thankyou again Starvinmarvin for the name tel number, Andrew was very very helpful indeed. terry
  2. Update, thanks to an e-mail from david who placed me in contact with johnson outdoors, this is the deal, around 250 P13 kayaks have leaks, this only comes to light when the kayak is used and weight is placed on the unit for the 1st time. Anyway Johnson are picking up the P13 and replacing it at their expense, I am happy with that, BUT PEOPLE WATCH IT IF YOU DEAL WITH KAYAKS AND PADDLES, customer care, I don,t think so. terry
  3. Well I am returning the kayak and getting my money back tomorrow, but can,t spend over 600 pounds on a flooting sand pit, thanks for the offer anyway.terry
  4. Well I took the kayak the second time and it floats like U56, after 1/2 hour 1 gallon of water inside. On returning to dry land I rang Kayaks and Paddles at Plymouth only to told I would need to wait a week for a replacement, and it would be at my cost to return said goods, a round trip of 100 miles, not good. In fact when asked if they knew of a fault with the Prowler and if they had any returned they stated they knew there was a fault but were selling them anyway, and know they had not any returned, I know of two that have been returned to this very shop. I will collect my kayak, test it and if its no bloody good get my money back and never deal with these people again. People out there in the words of stg from hill street blues 'be careful out there'and best to leave this company alone. terry
  5. Hi I like the look of the above, but there again I like anything that someone builds with their own hands, If I may I will copy the above design, I use to work for a company that used lots of aluminium, maybe able to get some when I am in oxon and copy your design, will need to use bolts as don,t have tig welder these days. also like bills to but the price with all the postage add ons, someone needs to go to the us and buy us all the things we need or just buy us things ;-) I must say it makes me mad the price we buy over here for our hobbies yet the yanks have better gear at 1/2 the price.terry

  13. Again the PC company wins out again, Yet its far from me to be the bearer of sad tidings but if you look at the figures just like the red squirrels white English folk will be out numbered within 20 years and thats not counting the vest numbers still flowing in. I for one am planning to leave this very very sad country, And please don,t anyone say that the English our a bastard race, I know but its always been the strong that have mixed. The PC mod have just given this country away.

  17. Hi all, for family reasons I found myselve heading upto the lakes over the weekend, with the kayak on the top, having just picked it all up. during a break in my family duties I was able to take the kayak out on the coniston for a bit. Its a Prowler 13 angler edition. during my bit of a paddle around 1/2 an hour or so. I returned to find a lot of water had shipped into the hull, it must come down the rod hodders, is this normal??? there must of been 1/2 a gallon or so, no wonder I was slowing down, lols. any help would be great. thanks terry
  18. Hi Mad Yakker, the answer is NO, she is up north at the moment and I am down south, and a kayak on top of a new model engineering lathe will just put her over the top, lols What part of OZ are you in Mad, I have family in melboune, been out there one myselve but just could not get on with the place, i love history to much, I just wish we had the fishing and a bit more space here to enjoy, Begood terry

  23. Hi, well I am taking the step and buying a kayak, having just moved down to exmouth and finding that having a large boat is a pain to own here, I think and hope that a kayak will answer all points, ie make me a bit fitter with all that paddling and 2nd get me out to those fish, I can,t cast for toffee, lols. So whats going to be out there around the estary for me to have a go at??? any ideas, terry
