    Cheers Simon I have been using vaseline on all the connection to my boats electronics for some time, with no probs yet Also find it very handy whilst at work for the "sweaty ring syndrome" eases the sorness very well ATB Tom

    Hi SM I've looked at the instructions for the charger and it says it is suitable for various types of battery including SLA up to 14ah Have been using the big 6v (2 wired together) lantern batteries but after 3 trips the volts are dropping rapidly, so thought it was time for a rechargable.     Just bought a Yuasa 12v 7ah SLA battery today (£10.50) What i want to know is, Is it ok to lay it on it's side in the kayak? and if i keep it in a sealed container does the container need to be vented? Many thanks Tom

    Hi s2vto As mentioned in our chat earlier the b&q line is fine Length wise to be on the safe side 21/2 to 3 times the depth of water you are fishing so for the conger venue you should get away with 60m HTH Tom
  15. Hoping to be there, i don't have to work now. I have to drop my daughter of in Havrfordwest first though. Would have liked to fish most of the flood but maybe i can do that on Sunday I have taken codling from around that area as early as mid October in the past so may bring some lugworm as well See ya at the w/e Tom

  17. Hi all I remember reading a thread a while back that gave a description of an easy way to tie up to pot bouys and mooring bouys, i think it may have involved using bungee cord can anyone point me in the right direction to this thread. Many thanks Tom

    I've been looking and looking and may order the Garmin 725 h/h I found it at www.mesltd.co.uk Does anyone use this model ? or are they poo I use the Garmin 2006c GPS on my boat and it's always been 100% reliable so hopefully their radio's will be just as good Tom
