  2. Not massive john average around 1/2 pound, lots either side, but great sport, keep to the shallows btween 5-10 feet on the right hand bank there is alot of weed, keep to the edge of this and you wont go wrong, plenty of ground bait in, get a good bed in to start, small balls but you must keep them going in regular, should still be warm enough in the first week or two in september for that method, there are probably people on AN that fish it more often so hopefully you will have some more upto date info soon.
  3. ive fished it a few times, had some great raoch days on there, but my self and plod spent a day there i think two years ago, piking, it was really bad weather, rain wind sleet, i blanked but plod had a couple of small pike, its a really nice place mind you, absolutley stunning. looking at the pic below, the weather looks great, must have been a break, we had proper waves honest we used maks and lampreys for most of the day but also did some lure fishing ranging from very small to massive 7"+ no proper takes
  4. cheers Newt i cant wait Im pretty sure all fishing will be bank based, as far as i know we do have acess to a boat, but purely for transport around the water(not 100% on that though, will confirm)
  5. Hi all my self and plod are off to passais in france in may, im really looking forward to it, we are staying and fishing here! it has carp of course, but also has catfish and sturgeon, i would love to catch either one of those, just wondering if anyone has fished the place, or have any tips for cats and sturgeon. i know a member of AN only lives 20 miles away , so some info would be great, cheers all

  9. That was great fun and got me really thinking about taking pictures rather than just taking photo`s if you know what i mean, im chuffed to to beans at being in the top three, Alone was taken on the banks of the river Usk, all his mates where flying around or eating bread that an old fella had thrown onto the mud and he was erm alone the other picture is our local the murrenger, the oldest building in south wales so they say, a great retreat. i really liked hellbellys Balck and white mates, and westies cat behind bar, but i also really liked the power of tv, a great shot and a real sign of the times.

  12. Hi SI oops forgot about this thread, Broadband is in Megabits not megabytes, bits normally refer to data transfer (1kilobit= 1000 bits) and bytes are mormally used to refer to storage space (1 kilobyte = 1024 bytes) dont get to thinking that because you have a 5.5mb connection that you are downloading 5.5 meg of data, when your ISP offers you a 5.5Mb connection, its megaBits not MegaBytes to get your actual data download you need to divide by 8, 1024 divided by 8 = 128KB bt are offering me 5.5mb so thats 5.5 x 128 = 704KB/sec, if you look below, thats just under what i should be getting, it will be more/less at different times of the day. from BBMAX Download Speed: 5170 kbps (646.3 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 382 kbps (47.8 KB/sec transfer rate) notice, that its stating 5170kbps, well its going to that on the speedo to but refering to it as megabits on that, is it just me or have they made a mistake, ah well, ive sorted the maths anyway lolol 5170kbps x 128KB = 661760 (im asuming this is MEGABITS) 661760 / 1024 = 646.2 KB/s pheeeeyeeeew.
  13. Well done Paul a great picture, and a very fitting title too.

  16. infact there are four Chesters, PCI(wich Glenn has) PCI EXPRESS(from x1-x16 though i think 1 is used for modems), and AGP PCI

  18. hi all, ive been messing about with some footage i took while fishing last friday on the river wye, have a look see what you think. i used windows movie maker and filmed it on a samsung s500
  19. lolololol, oh yes i know exactly what you mean, i have ms flight sim, and a few others, i use two monitors and that makes walking away even worse lololol. Hope you get sorted.
  20. Hi Glen do you use the modem, chances are if your on broadband you dont, and asuming the card is PCI (thats the white slots on the motherboard) take it out and replace it with your card and you should be fine, if its AGP the brown slot above the others, chuck it in there, im presuming you have been using the onboard graphics up to now.
  21. [quote name='Hellbelly'Tried what you said Steve but nothing was happening. No sliding. I've have to enlarge pics and clone over the line. Looks good still. what you need to do is make sure the inset line is on a new layer, then when you do the copy part make sure that layer is turned off, had me going for ages got it in thend though. My flat plated lizzard Bud My mate plod on the wye on friday, lucky bugger, i blanked. the top part of his hat was missing in the original photo, so i very quickly created the rest of it using the smudge and smooth tools
