There are a few angling supplies places that sell lightweight clamp-on downriggers that would suit a narrow gunwale. Alternatively, glass in a shelf inside and right under the gunwale and fix it to that.

The right-hand short 'rod' thingy is a downrigger. Attach the cannonball weight to your rig, lower the cannonball & rig to the depth you want, troll.

http://www.cabelas.com and search for downrigger and you will get 59 hits on related gear. Very commonly used by boats fishing the Great Lakes.

Fish-on and the cannonball detaches leaving you free to fight the fish.

I had the original query bout fittin downriggers on my 520 posted for me by elton, i've not solved the problem by fitting a mounting board rite across the stern of the boat and raised up. This can acomadate my downriggers and planerboard mounts and an extra two three rod holders for use with the planerboards plus cannonball holders. Gettin my downriggers from cabelas even with the postage they are a fraction of the cost of buying over here. The cheapest i could get over here was from and at the lureshack and that was delivered!
