  1. Recently paid £5.40 to Special Delivery an envelope to Cardiff, not too far from Caernarfon. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the following day. Well it arrived the day after, way too late. I was assured by the post office guy it was the best way to send it. I cannot claim because I have to put the claim in within 14 days and they are, to Quote, ' still inputting their electronic poof of deliveries from August'. So they scammed me for £5.40, and yes it was a scam, they are months behind with their proof of delivery so you can't even get your postage back never mind why you trusted them in the first place and paid their premium rates. Sooner they loose their jobs the better, they are useless, scum and scammers. The envelope contained an application for my wife to retrain as an Orthopaedic Surgeon, it was accepted despite your pathetic efforts to sit on your arris. I trust any RM staff will not be filling in the occupation part of the consent form if you ever require orthopaedic surgery in North Wales in the future. To do so will be a big mistake I assure you.
  2. You report me if you want, as you say you have the right, I hav'nt posted here since you disrespected Disabled people so having my accout deleted isn't exactly a problem to me. I have remained a member for exactly what you have now done, you asked for help because you are pished by something that annoys you, I knew it would come eventually. I am so seriously glad the day has come, I so hope that dog has a long and productive life and you have many sleepless nights and absoluety nightmarish days, my parents did despite morphine, it couldn't alleviate their pain.
  3. Did you post about a year ago on disabled parking? Can't be bothered searching to be honest but I think it was you.
  4. First my religion is between me and my God, I will not be put into a category of religion with a label, too many wars stated that way, too many lives are being lost right now in the name of a God. Second point, If I had a dog with pelvic and femur cancer who also contraced MRSA during treatment and was bleeding from the ears, mouth, nose and eyes, even with the best of pain relief was screaming 24/7 in agony, would I be prosecued for extending their life as it was cruel? Third, another dog I have had had 5 amputations to limbs in 7 months due to complications of diabetes. They also contracted MRSA and Clostridium Difficile, eventually died as it's heart gave out. Now if the vet refuses to put them down would I have the bottle to do it myself, would I have the right, I can't reduce their pain anymore, money no object, and it is only a matter of time untill their heart gives out or they have a massive stroke or bleed out when the infection gets to an artery isn't it kinder to end their suffering, they ain't ever going to go fo a run in the paddock again. Well I didn't have the bottle to euthenise either, they were also too sick to take to Switzerland, Nobody would fly them. They were my Mum and Dad, not dogs and I will go to my grave re living their suffering and not having the bottle to do kill them and anyone who says they could do it has my serious respect because I held on to that mythical cure for both.
  5. Cancer, doubt it requires my reasons
  6. My Mum had a blue badge, she had bone cancer in her pelvis and thighs, sticks, frame, wheelchair then she died. She never gave up and tried her best to live as normal a life as she could, it was important to her self worth. She looked forward to the days she could get out, when the constant pain she was in was controlled by the morphine pump she was attatched to and she wasn't feeling too sick due to the other drugs. She had to be driven and lifted out of the car, not possible in a normal parking bay, she had to have the extra space of the disabled bay. My Dad had Diabetic Gangrene, 5 amputations, stick frame wheelchair and died. He had the same outlook on life as Mum, he wanted to get out and do "normal" things when he was well enough, again limited to wide disabled bays for access. I used to have to park and wait in a normal bay until a disabled bay became available for both of them. So my feelings are that I wouldn't wish it on anyone, those that abuse the system will hopefully never have need to use it for real. Can't really say what I feel about your selfish attitude as I would be banned from the site and you really are not worth that.
  7. Take a look at Hiro Tackle, they make some tiny hooked sabiki rigs for sandeel, down to a size 18 I think
  8. Wife has a Prada phone, she loves it, takes good photos as well. Hers is on contract with Orange, cost her £40 for a leather case though.
  9. If you get hold of Admiralty chart 5011 it is a booklet which explains every symbol and abreviation used on charts.
  10. I ordered a stainless fridge / freezer from them, delivered when promised and left outside the house at my request. The delivery driver went back to the wagon I presumed to get the paperwork, wrong, he jumped in and drove off. I unpacked it immediately and found 3 dents in the doors. Phoned Comet to be told to ring Smeg direct to organise the repair. I refused as it is their problem to rectify, my contract being with them and not Smeg. To cut a long story short after speaking to the manager who insisted I had to ring Smeg direct I put the fridge freezer on the trailer and went to Comet. Backed up to their doors and threw the fridge/ freezer off in their entrance completely blocking it. I got my money back.
  11. http://www.bes.ltd.uk/nav_graf/frames_cat....roducts/069.asp Scroll down for the modern version but fitted with a Wade valve. If you do a google for 'foot mounted Fulham nozzle' you may find a supplier near to you.
  12. Only team I know that have played in the World cup and come back with the Ashes!!!!
  13. Please be carefull if you are using this site, in the legend it states depths are in meters when they are actually in feet. I contacted them a month ago by email and phone but they havn't changed it yet allthough they agree it is misleading. Standard reply that electronic chart data should not be used for navigation.
  14. Why not do it yourself, if you can paint a wall you can fibreglass a roof. There is nothing difficult or technical about it. If you want to DIY I will be happy to talk you through it.
  15. Fibreglass it, then forget it as long as it is done right. I did one which took 156 eight by four ply sheets to cover the roof so it was pretty big, that was 12 years ago, no leaks so far. Materials for a roof of your size should cost no more than £300 to £400
  16. Or this http://anhduong.net/pps/Dubailandiaeng.pdf
  17. If you want to really confuse them tow your boat to the petrol station and fill up. If the plastic fuel tank is not connected to the engine you can only put 5 litres in it. Connect it to the fuel hose and you can fill it. Disconnect it and then connect the next one to the engine and fill that. Perfectly legal as long as the container has the appropriate warnings. As long as it is connected to the engine it is a fuel tank and can legally be filled whatever the capacity, not connected it becomes a container and subject to the 5 litre plastic / 23 litre metal limits. Best is whilst connected to the engine it doesn't need any warnings on it. As soon as you disconnect it you do. Shambles springs to mind
  18. Did you have beach defenses there during WW2, the second photo looks a bit like a "hedgehog" that was put up to stop landings.
  19. Si believe me I know the grief you get as a mod, I am a mod on a sea fishing forum myself. I get plenty on there and have thought long and hard about my continual involvement due to the grief I get for trying to keep the site "legal". I posted the explanation on Long Trotters decision not to cause grief but simply to explain to Newt why he made his decision to leave, I presume you saw the TV program on Racism in the Police force in this country, I also presume you are aware of the PC attitude prevalent in our UK society. If a reason why his post was removed was not forthcoming then he had no choice but to dissacociate himself from the site in an effort to limit the potential damage he could suffer. I have been here for 5 years I think and not posted that much, in the main I have always tried to help, this post was also meant to help as I really think a simple PM or open post to Long Trotter would have allayed his fears instead of backing him into a corner with but one option. I sincerely hope the explanation will be sent to him via email, better late than never, and I hope in turn he will return as a valued member. All he wanted to know was that he had not instigated a thread that reverted to racism, I honestly think that is not too much to ask knowing his present employment. How long would it take to send him a pm, how long did your reply to this thread take, how long did Newt's reply telling him his account was deleted take? This is probably the longest post I have made here, Hopefully you will take it in the spirit it is intended, if not then I am sorry to have taken up more of your time.
  20. Newt, I think something needs explaining here, Long Trotter wrote "My main reason for asking for clarity on why the 'I Love My Country' thread was removed, is as most people know I am a Police Officer and I would hate to think people are thinking I inspired a racist thread. He could loose his job and worse for making a single racist comment, the Police in this country are paranoid on the subject of racism and if it were to find it's way back to his station that he had alledgedly made a racist comment or as he says inspired a racist thread it would most certainly result in his suspension pending an enquiry, an investigation and the very real possibility of loosing his job. He was not in the least worried about a post being removed IMHO, more the reason for it's removal and as he had asked why it was removed without reply his decision to leave was inevitable and with knowledge of the PC attitude prevalent here it was forseable.
  21. Wall mounted or ceiling, but neither in a location within reach of a person in the shower, is the new reg I think, prior to 2001 a ceiling pull was required Have you got the right sized cable and RCD/RCBO for the power of your shower? Edit: just found this, may be of help http://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/electricshower.htm
  22. I have to say snap, I replied to a couple or three posts, one on nurses pay and ferret's 10,000th post which had 4 pictures on it (none offensive as far as I could see) this was reinstated after a while and this am it has gone again. At one stage I saw 5 locked threads, I could undertand 2 possibly 3 of them being closed but the other 2 I thought were fine especially the 10,000th post thread, it is a milestone after all. This morning they have all gone
  23. Looks to me like it could be the end of an Ear Defender, part of the PPE and being blue it is the colour used for traceability in the food industry. Similar to this link http://www.protecdirect.co.uk/Product.asp?...isper+%2B+Detec
  24. When we moved to Wales we got done 3 times. First property, offer accepted, survey done and paid for, week before exchange of contracts letter arrives from the solicitor of a 3rd party that owned the road to the house telling us we could have access for the rest of the month but would renegociate access after that. Held to ransome more like. End of sale 1, strange thing was the owner never mentioned any problems of access, when challenged he disclosed that he went cap in hand each month to renew his access to his house. Second, offer neither accepted nor rejected. Left for 7 days then withdrew. Within 30 min the Estate agnts rang back and said I was very close would I like to increase the offer. No thank you, bye Third, offer acepted, survey done and paid for, strange request from seller could she have a copy of the survey. less than 8 hours after she got it she withdrew the house from the market. Absolutely no explanation although I later found out when I moved here that she does it every 2 or 3 years to find out if thehouse needs any work. Total loss to us in travelling, time wasted in days off work, and surveys £10K plus. Next house I looked at I wanted a contract with the seller that we would be in in 6 weeks, they would be out in 6 weeks at the agreed price. Either party cancelled £10K penalty drawn up between the solicitors and it worked to the day.
