Christmas Day fishing

Would you believe it, me and the missus have been keeping an eye on the weather for our xmas day pike fishing trip and up till a couple of days ago it was a south westerly wind, now according to the weather channel it's going to be an easterly at about 11kph(whatever that is in english mph.)

So what does every one else think, will it be a blank day, normally i woundn't go out with an easterly blowing.

who cares what size it is, as long as it's a fish.

Ive never fished Christmas Day but for many years I fished on Boxing Day morning for Pike. The conditions never bothered me as neither did the result! It was just a personal "tradition" and good to get out in the fresh air after the big days excesses!

Wind direction has never bothered me when piking as much as when targeting other species.I find the air pressure and its resulting conditions far more important.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

the last couple of years theres been no-one fishing on the 25th at the pond and last year no-one on boxing day either .

were to busy doing the rounds to kids and grandkids to do anything more than pop down the pond to check permits

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong
