Shimano Triton TDL5 Lever Drag Reels

I have had a pair of Shimano Triton TDL5 Lever Drag Multiplier Reels for many years now - for the last 15+ years they have sat in a draw doing absolutely nothing!

I was told that they may be worth something as the TDL5 is, as far as I'm aware, no longer made.

They are in very good condition - in perfect working order.

My question is this, is the pair of them worth £90?

I put them on ebay but have not had a sniff!!

Hello Charlie.

If Davy and Norrie have shown such rapid interest, those reels must be worth a fortune?

Old discontinued Shimano tlds, are now sought after for some strange reason. If they were so good, why were they discontinued?

Hiya,

To me they aint worth any more that £50 each, but the collectors will pay much more for them.

The strange thing is you can get brand new TLD25's for just on £100.00 each now.

Hi Charlie, Good luck with your reels.I will be watching.I put an old Mitchell reel on a couple of weeks ago, started it at £2.50,thinking if I got about a tenner I would be doing well, after 4 hours it was at £60, I nearly fell off my computer chair, it finished at £180.

Just been in my draw again - is a Shakespeare President 1984 multiplier, with a fair bit of ware to the the side plates, worth putting on ebay.

It's in perfect working order!
