Treble covers

I flicked through discovery h&l last night and there was a re-run of the Great Rod Race on. Couldn't help pausing to watch for a while before being told to "keep going!"...Mick Brown had some plastic coverings on the trebles on his lures.

 

Can these be bought?, or will they be something he's come up with?....they would come in handy, as I use Rizla filter tips, and they are always

falling off

Yep Fox sell them.

Or you can get QED hook bonnets from harris angling

cheaper than fox

Only girlies use hook bonnets Besides a bit of blood smeared on your lure is always good for a fish or two.

Small sections of pipe foam insulation tubing do the job much better, and are a lot cheaper.

 

I can throw all my lures into a box, without them tangling, and carry plenty of lures in my jacket pocket, without worrying about hooking my hands, when I stick my hands into my pocket and rummage around

The cigarette filters used to work ok, until I started crushing the barbs....

Leon beat me to it! Far better than those plastic hook bonnets as when you try and remove them (the plastic ones that is) you catch your fingers on the points anyway!!
