28 April Wherwell Lake - Red Letter Day

Booked Wherwell Lake for a session with five friends.

We arrived at approx. 8.30 am and left at 5.00 pm

In between those hours, which incorporated a number of refreshment breaks, and an "Official" lunch break, the fishing was spectacular. No massive fish were caught, there were two four pounders and the rest were of a 3lb average.

In total 28 fish were taken, and at lease 60 released.

my personal total was 6 fish taken and 17 released.

Where is 'Wherwell lake'?

I know Wherwell in Hants, is it near there??

The only water I know of in Wherwell is the trickle that runs through - called the 'Test' or something.

Yes it is in Wherwell (Nr. Andover), The entrance to the lake is down the lane opposite the estate office.

but the week is not over yet. I'm off boat fishing off Hayling Island tomorrow (Saturday), after Bream and Smooth Hounds, and Sunday I'm Coarse fishing at Marsh Farm, Milford.

Hopefully I shall have a rest on Monday. It is a hard life, don't you agree
