I think we all had one, Budgie. Nobody ever drank it. It was just a reminder of how bad things could be if you forgot to buy 'proper' instant coffee.

Thanks Peter but you can keep your camp coffee thanks. I'll have anything of the very thick, probably burnt (yes, I know you're not meant to use boiling water but I like that way), stong, amphetamine-like variety with a couple of sugars and a splash of milk. Where do you think I get the stamina to write on all 274 angling forums I can normally be found on a daily basis? I don't care if it's instant from Asda or Kenyan Double AA....just make it coffee.

When Newt came to stay I had a jar of Kenco Extra Strength in the cupboard. Very palatable and one spoonful is normally enough to tan anyone's gizzards. Newt needed five big, heaped teaspoonfuls in a mug before he would call it coffee!
