im startin up carpin just need some genral info

i just need some genral inf im gettin a rod combi for xmas that comes with loads of stuff check it out.

A word of warning on the set up you are looking at. The pod is very unstable and weak. The uprights have a tendancy to bend and snap and the threads go quicky. The rods are cheaply made and go really soft after a couple of times use. I would look elsewhere if I was you. Try

thanks for the info i know about wmac i was lookin at that moments before i made the post and saw a decent rod combi and wrote a note to have alook at it. so there better quality thanks for the info

im not sure what its like but check out the TFG gear from matt hayes, find some decent little bait runners and a cheap but stable pod, alarms, id suggest maybe the fox microns, about £25 and a good little alarm, end tackle is up to you, but look at Korda gear, i use ESP hooks and snake bite hook links.....

TFG gear is not budget gear. I think their cheapest carp rod is around £50 although it is good stuff. There reels are good quality aswell. If you let us know how much you want to spend this will give us a better idea. I use Okuma epix baitruners- cracking reels for the money. These can be picked up for about £40 each new on ebay. I would have alook on ebay cos you can get some real bargains on there

best cheap carp rod i reckon is the shimano hyperloop, 35 quid ish each new, some on ebay right now i think
