Throwing stick

Just wondered if it was possible to make your own throwing stick as it seems like a very simple peice of equipment but very effective

u no what i mean the ones made of plastic that chuch boilies for miles! and then the fish fetching the bait with you hook in the middle like a dog but different !

i know you can always use a cut off rod butt section (not as good as curved ones) they work sorta

James, it's very easy to make a throwing stick.

All you need is some circular conduit (tubing), which you gently heat to get the required shape.

I used a my missus hairdryer, but it took ages. I found that a electric blow torch used for stripping paint to be ideal. But don't get it too hot, too quickly or it will just melt!

Don't forget to plug the end of the tube, I used a grip off a kiddies tricycle!
