New to carping

I am due to receive my new (albeit cheap) carp gear in the week. I'm new to the game, know a bit about hair rigs etc but can anybody recommend a video/book or link to a beginners site to help me along the way?

slayer maybe with an answer.practical carp fishing by julian cundiff.what this book is about is the basics of carpin.

all you need to know.baits,rigs,location,etc.top read."carp fever"by kevin ________s.another good read.they are both published by beekay books.

If you are new to Carpin then I suggest buying (or subscribing to) Total Carp magazine. It is the best Carp magazine I have ever read with lots of information and updates with recomendations for rigs and gear etc. Hope that helps - it did with me and after a few years of fishing for them it has helped me brilliantly and has given me loads of fun!
