LATE FALL/WINTER CARPING

I am planning a trip to Southern Illionois this weekend to do some carp fishing while my brothers hunt deer. I must admit I haven't done much carping in the late fall or winter. The temp has been and will be anywhere from 30F to 55F. I don't know about the water temp. Does anyone have any tips on late fall/winter carping and where to find the big ones!

I'm no expert with carp, so hope that someone will be along soon to give some better advice.

 

If I were you, my mind would probably be thinking along the lines of single hookbaits (no, or very few, free offerings) and regular re-casting until you locate a fish or two.
