You have Waterlog, not really worth the subscription since Dexter Petley left. Jon Weird Allen the editor has absolutely no editorial direction and pandas to the Medlar Press book buying hardcore, all 96 of them! And then you have angling press as a whole, that’s heavily loaded with advertisements and more ads hidden in articles, so there’s a huge gap/void in the market for a middle of the road intelligent angling rag with a few good angling yarns from regular anglers, not just you double barrelled ya ho’s or you’re charmless bought by the man sell outs. Unless of course the weeklies or monthly’s broaden there horizons and get a little more cultured. Or else your boiled egg in the mouth quarterly, could let its guard down and become a little more grass roots, JWA yes you! Balance is required, like most things in life..
