Hiya, yesterday, I decided to list a few books of mine on Ebay, a small collection of over 30 How To Catch Them Books, I listed them all at starting prices of £1.99, and asked for NO E-Cheques, as in the past, they have taken over TWO weeks to clear.

Almost immediately, they were taken off, and cancelled. I was " MR Angry" and started looking for other infringements of Ebay listings, so, had a look in Boats and Watercraft, purely as I look at it every day...:)

 

Almost 40% of boats for sale, say "Cash Only" or "Advertised Elsewhere, and can remove"...now, last year I had roof bars for my jeep removed, as I had stated they were advertised in our local paper....

I called Ebay a few mins ago, and asked about the listings ( Not Specifically BTW...:) )...and the infringements on them., about how THEY can be left till the end, but MY listings are being stopped.... and why Ebay didnt do anything about THEM. I asked " It couldnt be the very high fees being lost, could it? ". unlike the small fees on books at £1.99 each!!! One of the boats ended a few mins ago, at well over £60K... :angry:

 

The girl couldnt answer, and just kept saying "Your fees have been credited" She was flummaxed..:):)

 

Good old Ebay...AGAIN.... <_<

 

 

Upside is, I got a mail from an angling book dealer that I know, asking for a list of the books, he came back with an offer of £300 for the HTCT ones....which I accepted...:) And Ebay is losing out, as my whole collection is being sold, and the dealer wants to see the list... :D :D

my mein kampf was withdrawn by ebay "not allowed" but the rest of the worlds ebays are full of them some even in english :rolleyes:

 

hmm the place is full of them now so i'l try a relist ,obviasly someone woke up to the fact a book is just a book and the content no more "anti" anyone than the old testament :rolleyes:

strangely though none are real ww2 issue ?

listed it ,got the confirmation email ,can see it from "my ebay" but not in a search nor in AN's members selling online dooda ,strange

If it stays invisible more than 24 hours, it probably never will appear. If eBay removes it for some sort of violation, they should refund your listing fees automatically.

 

When you looked, it would have been in text-only mode waiting for approval and indexing so searches would find it.

strangely as before anyone else can sell it worldwide (as many are in reality) but not the uk ,as for "We don't allow sellers on eBay to list items that promote violence, hatred, racial or religious intolerance, or items from organisations that promote these views."

the bible using these very terms should be banned also :angry:

mein kampf has nothing to do with the nazi's in reality hitler was a national socialist when it was written ,bugger ebay

strange democaracy has brought us freedom ,the freedom to decide whole countries are forbidden reading material ,no wonder european conflict is a regular habit.

the UK and US are ok but it seems to upset the countries that welcomed german rule open armed ,crazy
