This is a long shot, but...

 

do you know of anybody trying to find a home for a kitten or a young cat, preferably not long-haired or pedigree? I have a good friend who is having great difficulty finding one: even cat rescue centre has a long waiting list!

You meet all kinds of animal on the riverbank.

Don't go near the cat’s protection bunch or RSPCA, blinking Spanish inquisition was less severe!

Yes I have a house, yes I have children, and no I don’t live within 50 yards of a Chinese takeaway

Mind you our latest (and very nice cute megafluffy) cat just turned up a week before Xmas a few years back and has'nt left since - so just get the cat kit in and wait.......

Jealousy: totally irrational anger directed at people who happen to be richer, prettier, thinner, cleverer and more successful than you are.

the hindhead cats protection lot are ok ,not only did they take the 9 (yep 9) kittens our cat had but also took the mother as well (the kittens were already weaned) she had them while we lived in a camper ,not the best of places but they all survived but 9 kittens deciding at once that putting your leg on the floor was a invitation to climb a fake tree was fun.

we tried the rspca who in curt words said they wern't interested despite us offering to take them to the nearest center :mad:

2 kindly little old ladies turned up at the east horsely camp site laden with cages and took them ,a month later we got this place and phoned up to see if the mother was still there but she had been rehomed already

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!
