One more will have you at 15 so now may not be the time to back away.

I appreciate the reason for this policy, but I have directed quite a few people towards this Forum that find it frustrating and no longer visit.

Perhaps there is an alternative.

From memory, when you first join, you have to read the 'rules' page, then click that you have read them, i'm sure the 15 posts before you are unleashed is on that page. So i find it a tiny bit amusing that this question arrises now and again. Perhaps using bigger letters may have some effect. :)

If the above is correct, perhaps the title could change to people problems. :D

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I joined 8 years ago so I can't remember what was on the registering page then, probably just the word "welcome".

I am not denying that the information that your first 15 posts are subject to Mod Approval, is probably stated clearly somewhere, but its the fact that it is deemed necessary that frustrates most people.

We do not have full time Moderators, which is understandable and everyone appreciates that they give their time selflessly, but it does take the spontaneity away sometimes when you are waiting to be "approved".

I am a member of a lots of Forums and most are bigger than AN, they don't have the same Mod Approval requirement.

Whether it is necessary on here was really my main point.

Cranfield - based on the amount of spam we remove before it is ever seen and the absense of complaints by members who were being bombarded by spamming PMs, I think it is worthwhile.

This batch was pure spam

Newt, a lot of Forums manually validate their members (one validates up to 50 per day).

The member registers and receives the auto response which they have to acknowledge, this reduces a lot of the Spammers.

If they get to User Validation mode they are persistent.

At the point of Admin Validation, check their IP (http://whatismyipaddress.com/ )and if its from a known Spam source, like Russia, Phillipines, Korea, etc., you can almost guarantee they are Spammers, however the second check is post their registering email addy on Google.

There are loads of Spam catcher sites out there that will flag up the dodgy email address immediately.

Anyway, its nothing to do with me, you have what ever procedures you want.

I was merely supporting PhilBo's comments.

I use to get quite frustrated when people I had recommended here came back and moaned, I don't anymore.
