Tescos Owe Me A Receipt

Elton

Recommended Posts

Fiver says I will.

I'm VAT registered and, AFAIK, have to have that receipt to claim back my VAT.

The transaction will be on my bank statement and, if it's a cut and dry case, I'll speak to a solicitor.

That way, I'll get my receipt (which is all I want!!!!), my solicitor fees and payment for my time.

The whole thing is daft. I haven't shopped at Tescos since and used to use that store weekly!!!

Why is it that in petrol stations you always have to ask for a receipt?

Shops give them automatic.

I need fuel receipts as my mate is VAT registered and he claims back the VAT.

LOL That's not the reason to claim back VAT! Unless you're doing legit work for him.

Over a certain turnover, a business is supposed to offer a VAT receipt, I believe.

If you want to claim back the VAT, you need to be driving it for business.

Just spotted this. I have worked for Tesco for 15½ years. I will ask some-one to deal with it next week Elton. I can't make any promises, but I know one or two switched on people who should be able to pick it up.

Ummmmmmmmmmm, not wanting to put a stop for your crusade about the reciept but you are entitled to make a claim for VAT rebate without providing evidence of purchase... ie a receipt as long as the total amount you claim per tax year is under (I think) £300 and you have made the purchase by way of an automated machine.....

Notwithstanding this Tescos are under a duty to provide you with a receipt but hey.....

Pay Peanuts.......... employ monkies

You having to use the Woodbridge Co-op or that amazing chain called Sainsburys (and thats not to close to you) then Elton!!!!!!

Any trader can become Vat registered.

If you Import or Export goods you have to have a Vat number.

If your company turns over 30K or more a year you have to be Vat registered.
