Tool Chests

I was thinking of buying a Stanley Professional Mobile Tool Chest or similar to carry my gear around in. The handle seems long enought to be able to pull it along without stooping. Anyone used one of these as a seatbox ?

Hi

You do see people using these on the bank, there looks like a lot of space in them, but you would still need to take a chair, so maybe a seat box would be better, they are so cheap these days.I picked up a alloy seat box with back rest and two draws for £4 from a car boot, and its so comfable to fish from.

Problem with a seat box is the additional weight and then you need a trolley to get it about. I've been looking at the new Octoplus range but I've no idea if its any good.

I bought a wheeled toolbox for my fishing trips, but found the wheels were far too small for anything but the flattest of surfaces. It's now full of tools.... Instead, I went back to my cheapo Argos seatbox, a cheap (but very good) trolley bought via Angling Times, and a folding chair.

i have a stanley bag for my sea fishing stuff.

solid bottom so it keeps dry and stops the leads wires poking out ,a plethora of inside pockets and lots on the outside and a great seperate top complete with a built in rig tidy ,best £3 i have ever spent.

my mrs sewed a cover for it so the external pockets are covered to keep the rain out ,i couldn't find a bag specifically for fishing that good .

just getting it ready for tuesday ;)

a few anglers used those wheeled multi tool box things when they came out (the ones about 3ft high),probably fell apart as they quickly disappeared.(similar to 3rd one down here : http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Garden-DIY,Han...Mobile-tool-box

the trouble with tool boxes is is the plastic tops (on the stanley rolling toolbox) safe to sit on in cold conditions! will the plastic shatter?
