Well done mate.

Was that you who were shouting to me as you left the harbour the other day then?

Looks like a great trip and two decent days fishing (where you will have been fishing) is a good achievement on it's own at this time of year.

Hope Charlie gets to see this he would be proud of you. I know I am and I am sure there is another John smiling down on one of his favourite customers. It's a great achievement to get your personnel best at this time of year where you caught it.10 fish over 20lb in one day is an absolutely magnificent achievement, well done to you all and especially to the crew and skipper for venturing out for such a long trip at this time of year.

Regards.

Yes John it was me who gave you a shout.

You looked very smart, proffecional and somewhat frightening in your uniform. :D:D

I must have a guilty conscious :P:P

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

We managed to get a November weather window for the 94 hr trip.

First day good fishing with plenty of cod

Second day after the big ones with 10 over 20 lbs

Largest 27lbs

My personal best of 25lbs 8 oz

255bls.jpg

Third day not so good with wind rising.

Good enjoyable trip.

Congratulations Ivan and Carl.

Good to hear of a good trip, you were curtainly fortunate with the weather window, the forcast gave fair weather for Mon- Tues comming not so good Wed, and it sounds as though it went to forcast.

Smashing to see fish of that quality, it takes me back to the times I had a few of that magnitude myself.

I would be keen to hear what took the fish, perhaps Carl, you would drop me a PM sometime as I don't have a number for you.

A good achievement for skipper and crew particularly for the time of year, a good finishing go to sustain the enthusiasum through a long winter. again, well done all.

Regards

Charlie

I thought it was you.

Have just returned from a conference in Birmingham attended by all the fisheries officers in the country. Apparently first time all have been under the same roof since the 1800,s hope no one took advantage ha ha. :D

Defra where there and ministers talking about the new marine bill and us becoming IFCA, s (inshore fisheries and conservation authority) they said we where going to have a uniform that would be universal to all IFCA, s they asked for any idea’s by the time that natural England had finished telling us what they expect us to do for them under the new marine bill, we unanimously decided to go for the storm trooper look. Ha ha :wallbash:

Again fantastic trip, by the looks of that video you where out aback of the second pump station. Thought I saw it in the background. Where you in about 70 to 80 meters of water? I see you had a ling or two. 10 cod over 20lb in one day is the best reports I have heard this year. Thought I would tell you that because no one else from Whitby would say it never mined report it. :sun:

Again well done and good look with the 120 hour trips next year.

Regards.

Hello Charlie.

Got your message the other day. Will give you a call later on in the week.

Good to see that there are fish out there to be caught this time of year. There brave souls doing 94 hour trips this time of year. Still good of them. Determination never did an angler any harm. At least with the silence this trip has caused it must mean that at least they are believed. Remember one trip we had Charlie when there was a couple of cod over 30lb caught and a boat load of cod over 20lb the anglers in question where accused of not telling the truth. :sun: Still at least it’s seams to of stirred up a few halibuts on the inshore grounds. :D

Regards.

It's somewhere i would really like to fish Dan.

Theres nothing wrong with saving up a lot less 'bob' and making a trip with these guys though.

Make your way to Whitby , jump on the boat , a bit of socialising , slip into bed , sleep, wake up ....and you're in prime Cod territory. OK , Norway has to be the Cod capital of the world but an easy runner up has to be the North Sea?

I've had more trips than i care to remember with this boat and more often than not every trip has proved to be a clonker.

Not knocking Norway one bit , i would love to have a pop at a real big one , but it's too easy for me to jump in the car and 80 mins later be on my way to something similar(ish).

Fishing is fishing , Life is life , but life wouldn't be very enjoyable without fishing................ Mr M 12:03 / 19-3-2009
