Have you any evidence that "them poor kids from working class families" suffered as a result of lack of milk? Probably saved their arteries from clogging up at an early age.

I've always thought that the Tory economics made more sense, not so sure about some other policies, are they still split on Europe? I don't like the way Cameron embraces every thing green for I think just like the unions in the 70's the greens are getting to big for their boots and are staring to gain to much power and will need to be brought down a peg or two.

I don't much like my local Tory candidate either Bernard Jenkins a career politician only looking out for himself.

My working life is ruled, interfered, made a misery of by DEFRA, Europe and soon Natural England I don't see it changing no matter who resides at No 10.

Not so cut and dried as you may think Big Cod, Challenge.

You are allmost certainly right wurzel the greens are now running amock and could certainly be putting peoples livellyhoods in jeperdy i had a meeting with our local conservative mp with a few of the other skippers a while ago he gave the impresion he was going to bend over backwards for us but i dont think that was the case i left school and went straigh into the construction industry in thoses day work was plenyfull if you werent working it was because you didnt want it but in the 70ss nurses were on peanuts and took industrial action to try and get a fair days pay non of them probably wanted to strike but were left no option but there is one thing which has changed since the 70ss and that white collor workers whos pay has shot miles in front of the manual workers there are far to many cheifs and not enough indians the councils are running wild with these sort of people .

I was a staunch labouright when i left school. That was because my parents where, as was theirs etc, etc. However my opinion changed as i became concerned at the unions trashing the uk economy, all the labour government could do was to go cap in hand for a bail out as they had no answer for them, even after tea and sandwiches at number ten.

Now we have a simular situation this time the money men trashed the economy even with the governments alledged strict controls in place namely the fsa, how many millions does this one quango cost the country yet it missed that one. If you govern, you govern, just wondering if the lights where on at the time. All they where interested in was spending more than 700 parliament hours to get a hunting ban in place. To date they have issued more than 3000 new laws, yet they have proved they can't handle our money. It's as though every single pound and gold bar is coated with teflon, and they can't hold on to them.

Now we have an economy that is heading for meltdown or simular to a zimbabwe'an dollar, as the labour government don't know how to get out of it apart from borrowing more and more money to feed these frontline quangos despite browns anti boom and bust speech. darling has hinted at cuts, yes i suppose he is working out the timing to cause the least damage to the government, don't matter about the damage to our economy though. Brown needs a mandate, bring it on. :) uk needs a vote on the eu as promised. Or is it right to continue to feed it without a mandate, including the 7 bill per year rebate, that maggie won for the uk, because of the unequal europeon common farming policy. B)

Hello Barry, am pleased to see that you came from good parenting background. Am sure that your parents would agree with me that I always thought that it was Ted Heath’s (Tory government) that couldn’t handle the unions and therefore did the decent thing and had a referendum by going to the polls early by calling an election?

Of course Thatcher (who was a junior minister at the time) waited till she had the chance and the entire establishment, (police with pay awards, journalists with more freedom of the press acts law and order with new emergency powers for dealing with civil unrest ) behind her before she attacked the NUM for there part in bringing the Tories down. It had nothing whatsoever to do with coal, it was all about revenge.

Union reform was always going to happen, but it shouldn’t have happened the way that Thatcher’s government did it. Police being sent into mining communities with out identification numbers on there uniforms, emergency powers that Leon Briton introduced for the miners strike so that a person who was found guilty of riotous assembly could face a life in imprisonment sentence. 40 miners where arrested and charged with riotous assembly after the Orgreave coke works picket line disturbances. 40 miners having to spend twelve months with a life sentence hanging over there heads, only to be all acquitted when the folly of it eventually got to the courts. In his summing up the judge said “after studying all the evidence of the day in question my only conclusion is that the only people that rioted that day where the police who, s ranking officers had lost complete control of there men”.South Yorkshire Police later awarded £425,000 compensation and £100,000 in legal costs to 39 pickets in an out of court settlement.

Was this apart of the union upheaval that swung you to vote Tory Barry?

Between 1980 and 1993, no less than six pieces of "corrective" legislation were passed and I do honestly think that a lot of this legislation was kneaded. It’s just the way that whole community’s that where attacked by the tools of a person who called these working class communities who had produced and lost so heavily when asked to defend this country “the enemy within” was a travesty and a disgrace to the working class.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Sorry, havn't had chance to get there yet. Can you make do with this, i copied it from Chesters today on another topic. Just for you to reminisce. I do like poetry. Enjoy. :)

The people's flag is deepest red,

It shrouded oft our martyr'd dead

And ere their limbs grew stiff and cold,

Their hearts' blood dyed its ev'ry fold.

Then raise the scarlet standard high,

Within its shade we'll live and die,

Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,

We'll keep the red flag flying here.

Thanks, Barry.

I read the first paragraph through teary eyes and a right proper belly laugh......then a bit of wee came out!

Once I cleaned myself up I returned to the screen for the second installment.

I nearly made it to the last line.....before a bit of sick came up!

But you forgot the last verse Barry, the verse that I think could be very appropriate. :D

With heads uncovered swear we all

To bear it onward till we fall;

Come dungeons dark or gallows grim,

This song shall be our parting hymn.

Hi Barry,

During the miners strike the met police who were stationed in the north east where issued with sweat shirts to wear when they where off duty. These sweat shirts had printed on then (in large distinguished letter) A.S.P.O.M. which was short for Arthur scargill pays our mortgage. Very professional and not at all provocative. Is this the sort of hard on crime policing that that you think that we should return too?

If you want to talk about labour being tuff on crime Barry you only have to look at the figures · Crime Down 35% overall; burglary down 53%; car crime down 46%; and violent crime down 34% (BCS)

· Record police numbers – up by more than 14,000 since 97 – plus 7,800 CSO's

· Over 7,350 ASBOs and nearly 300,000 PNDs issued

Still waiting on your search results on the miners strike Barry? Surely there must be some right wing propaganda out there in cyber-space that can justify Thatcher’s barbaric police state tactics that she used for her own political gain.

Regards. And are we going to get a change in the weather? So that we can get the opportunity to (either) keep something or release it? :D
