Fancy going wrecking at brighton next saturday. :fishing::boat:

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

What does a decent charter cost these days Barry?

I remember way back when, as a boy, I got in the boat while the big boys pushed it down the greasy planks at Deal. Do they still do that?

As it happens i spent very many days out from deal, off the beach, see a few boats go sideways in the surf, with all the gear going in the drink, didn't happen to me thankfully. I don't know if they still do it. :D We also did rye a lot, good fishing from there as well, i know there is still one or two good boats there.

You get what you pay for, you can do a cheapo folkestone one for 35 quid, in the summer it's ok, chance of some codling and bass. Chance of a cod in the winter. This week we were 35 mile off brighton for 55. Off weymouth it will be about the same, right out wrecking. Down devon the cost comes down a little as they are not so busy. All good fun though. 22lb pollock was landed on SEA BREEZE 3 this wednsday gone wern't me though i only managed a 18lb.

We are at the mo trying to temp the brighton skipper to do a 3 day french bastile trip(spellin), missed out last year as the wind blew, however if we get across it will be for big conger. :fishing1:

Spend a few evenings on google maps, load of info for camp sites etc plus you can select likely looking marks for yourself. Gather any extra info on marks from local tackle shops during your travels.

I do the same for west Wales.

Charters from Weymouth £35 to £55.

Hi Ken.

Yes, done that with Google maps and Google earth which, in itself is enjoyable but they can't tell you what the fishing's like or if the car park is safe to leave the van etc. I guess tackle shops are the only resource for that.

Still haven't found that camel/sphinx shaped rock though.

Last wednesday's action, gawed i was useless, thanks to Terry with a bit of careful editing he made me look like an angler that day. Going again at the weekend to make up for it. Star of the video is a fine 22lb pollock from David, nice one, enjoy.

I have to say I'm disappointed at the response to this thread. Maybe you guys on the south coast just don't like sharing huh?

Thanks to those who bothered anyway.

I think you will find few if any of our posters live in Devon or Cornwall, and not many seem to go there on holiday these days. Its about 40 years since I fished there myself, so any info I have is years out of date. Used to get great sport from Chapel Point , west of Mevagissey, but I don't even know if the farmer still allows access these days.

The beach at Blackpool Sands, near Dartmouth, and the beach in front of Slapton Ley also used to be good for bass. Had a 36 lb tope from the rocks west of Blackpool Sands (1952 though !)
