Another question of American "freedoms"

I read this article on the BBC last week and found it rather worrying.

 

First thing to enter my comedy brain was the question of how these boys and girls would react if the congregation of the local mosque all started to carry a gun on their hip as well as wearing a beared, a skullcap and a dress ?

 

Next thing to strike me was the faulty logic employed to justify the guns.

 

On a scale of 1 - 5:

How safe do I feel in an American city ? - 2

How safe would I feel if I had a gun ? - 5

How safe would I feel if I had a gun but so do the muderers, rapists and asorted psycho's ? - I don't want to think about that because I feel safer with a gun. I know, I'll pretend that criminals wont openly carry a gun even if open carry becomes the norm.

add a sign on the door with a picture of a sieve and a txt saying "do you wanna look like this ?"

 

or just blast afew holes in my front door!,that should make intruders think twice:)lol

 

honestly though!id feel better having something to even the odds in the event of a break in.....

 

maybe a,,ummmmm rocket launcher!

I'm with Newt on this one. If I were a US Citizen I would only live in a state that allowed CONCEALED carry. If I was carrying a gun I'd rather it was tucked away in a shoulder or ankle holster.

 

I only wish that more Americans would take an equal stance on the First Amendment.
