Where to fish in British Columbia (Canada)?

Recommended Posts

Hey there

I'm planning a fishing trip to BC (Canada) and hoping that some of you might be able to give me some tips on where to go. What I would love to do is catching salmon on the fly in one of their lovely rivers. Which are the best rivers to go? This is part of a year around-the-world trip for me so I will be on a budget. I will be arriving in BC sometime in the beginning of August.

I would appreciate any help regarding rivers, where to stay, fishing tips, etc.

Thanks!

One of my 'Fishing Trips to do before I Die'! is Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River - ½hours googling will throw up loads of info....

I have been to Chilliwack BC a couple of times in last six years to fish the Fraser for great white sturgeon but have had a couple of days after the salmon if the "pinks" are in the river when you are there you will have some great sport.

Google Cascade Fishing Adventures for up to date information I have only ever been with them but Marc Laynes the guy who runs it knows the river inside out as do all his guides and it is just a fantastic place to go, the fishing, the wildlife, the scenery etc are just second to none.
