Rapala Buys Dynamite Baits

A few people on our Facebook page seem to think this is a bad thing for Dynamite, but I don't really get why. What's the general opinion on here?

I think you might be right

 

When I read this, even at 4am, I was genuinely excited. Here's a big, multi-national company buying one of the best-known UK bait producers.

I can't see a problem with it. Dynamite Baits must be doing something right to attract the attention of such a big company and I guess by buying Dynamite Baits it shows that Rapala are showing an interest in the UK market that might lead them to develop products more suited for our fishing either under the Rapala banner or pushed through Dynamite.

 

I am a big fan of there lures but most of them have been developed with Bass and salt water in mind, they work well for Pike, Zander and Perch, but with a UK brand in there portfolio they might start to produce items aimed at our predators. So in general I think it is a good thing and should hopefully lead to good things coming out of dynamite baits with all the extra resources that Rapala can give them.
