Mr Taylor

regarding your article page 36 Angling times this week 'reservoirs are an untapped goldmine...'

If you are refering to LAC Suffolks Levington

water, here are some facts :

The biggest bream stocked was 16lb not 17lb

There were only 11 big bream stocked, not a very high volume!

The water is between 2 - 3 acres and upto 30ft deep.

One of the countrys biggest fish suppliers

stocked the fish and said the bream would thrive.

The water was taken over by us last year and had not been fished for 14 years.

The carp that have been in the water all this time go upto 25lb and have grown on natural foods.

If the water can support between 50 - 60 double figure carp for all this time I am sure it will

support the bream.

Boilies are banned on all our waters and all fish

we have stocked are growing at a very hig rate.

I take it that you heard about the stocking from

a Breakaway pit regular who is jealous that he has

to buy a day ticket / all night ticket every time

he goes after the breakaway bream and contend with all sorts of people who bombard breakaway pits with boilies, groubdbait etc 24 hours a day

7 days a week.

We only pay GBP50.00 per year to fish for our bream and only see a few anglers when we fish.

John Wilson fished breakaway for his go fishing series and struggled for two days even though

his swims were pre baited and only himself and his brother were fishing.

Breakaway bream are rarely caught due to very high angling pressure.

We think breakaways are scared because their bream make the angling press every time they are caught and have had a monopoly on the Suffolk bream scene and now there will be some new Suffolk bream in the press once they are caught.

We have a big waiting list to join our club which

split from FMS a few years ago, there have been rumours spread around Suffolk that we are going bust and the lakes we rent are up for tender.

THESE ARE UNTRUE.

The fact is that alot of anglers are very jealous

of our club, waters and fish stocks.

It is FMS own fault that they lost one of the best

fishing locations in Suffolk.

Err, Rudd, you may get more of a response sending this into Angling Times. I'm sure that they will, at least, ensure that Des reads it.

All the best,
