No, I was using a swimfeeder hung down the wall, just off the bottom where the crabs can't reach it, and baited with bread.

 

Thick lip mullet aren't often taken on a lure, though they will follow a respectful distance behind!

 

Thin lips will radily take a baited spinner, basically a small mepps, with the treble replaced by 3 inches of mono and a single size 8 hook, baited with harbour rag.

Leon....have you ever fished Scotland for Mullet?.I've had varying degrees of sucess at Ayr,Irvine,Largs etc. and I am going to try Torness power station as I hear its a Mullet hot-spot.Do you have any suggestions?
