i know this sounds like a daft question but can you use garden worm for sea fishing not had chance to get diggin today and going fishing tonight just need to know asap please guys

Hiya, Tho' I've never used them, I have heard of guys getting some fish with them, Whiting, wrasse etc.... but I'm sure ( from what I remember being told ) they go white soon after putting them into saltwater..

BUT, surely they have to be better than NO bait at all :)

Good luck..:)

In sleep every dog dreams of food, and I, a fisherman, dream of fish..

Used to catch eels on them in an estuary, I think they attract by the white colour rather than scent, look like white rag possibly, should be good for flatties in big bunches. When you think that people use rubber worms etc, I don't see why they wouldn't work.

Seem to work better in rivers and estuaries than the open sea.

But they don't give out the same scent trail as marine worms, so usually only get taken by fish that come across them, rather than fish following a scent trail to find them.
