barbel flavours

hi,

fishing on te avon and catching alot of fish ( chub 4lb barbel 8lb roach, tench, bream and eels) Wondering what flavours would help me target the barbel ?

Have been using cubed meat with good success but would love to hear how you ould go about it.

Halibut pellets are the way forward! Big ones too, they will catch you barbel, big chub and maybe a big old tench.

Im very glad that option came up as I was thinking about using them this season ... how big are we talking about and would you loosefeed any ?

I use 20mm or larger for hook baits (hair rigged) and around 16mm for feed. Ideally feed with a PVA tube/bag to keep it all close to the hook.

I'd use Spam.

I use the big pellets (20mm i think), then loosefeed the small halibut pellets that you get, (5mm i think).

CSL and halibut groundbait also helps bring them in.

just a thought j.k but try trigga boilies or there range of pellets,alot of people use halibuts,triggas are that bit diffrent,plus boilies will with stand the attention of small fish,as will pellets, anyway tight lines mate
