Just to keep all the catch report together ... We blanked unfortunaly. Only real excitment was at around 2am, one at a time, all 3 rods beeped into life right to left. I suspect a shoal of "somthing" was passing through. I really hope it wasnt the bream but I will never really know, but thats the great thing about Wingham, it keeps you guessing This morning I was woken up by the geese and their goslings, dont know who got the bigger shock as they all turned up at the bivvy door Good luck for the last night guys, We are currently drying off after this mornings downpours lol. As always, a MASSIVE thank you to all those involved in getting the fish-in together. Its one of the few events each year I really look forward too. If im lucky enough to be able to attend next year, I will try and get my head round how the gate locks work lol. Didnt seem to matter what code I tried the things didnt want to let me out

Hi all, Just a quick question. Can I use 3 rods if I have 1 FULL license and 1 x 24hour license ? Its very rare I use 3 rods so would rather not have to pay another 27£ just for the VERY odd occassion. The above question is mainly aimed for fishing at Wingham this year. Many thanks, Joel

You could mount any of the cameras onto the actual detecor if you feel wearing it isnt ideal As for the GoPro. Its not toooo bad in the dark. This was filmed in moonlight. To my eyes it was just light enough to see my hand infront of my face. http://youtu.be/YgwSLSZlGeY?t=5m41s

Thanks chaps Could easily tempt a few more species but would require changing gear as too many pike to justify fishing without a wire trace. Have had pike here take lures as small as 1inch

Had a great day yesturday manging to catch all 4 species on lures. Usually its the Zander that play hard to get but for what ever reason they came up the river in force, catching 3 in 3 casts !!

Finally got round to editing a days worth of video. A few hours from the morning and again in the afternoon (hence the hoody change lol) The rod in the video, spro insync, is one I won recently. Its turning out to be a great tool for my style of fishing. Light, sensitive and loads of backbone. If you get the chance to give one a waggle I would suggest you do! Pike, Perch and Chub caught in the below video, a hat-trick on film and a great way to start the season 8)

Glad you guys have enjoyed it I like to think I can look back at these videos with fond memories and maybe catch a few "odd" goings on lol. I have a real soft spot for Perch. They can be hard to catch at times on lures, but when they are in a "pack" and hunting they seem to hammer any moving target lol. I hope to upload more videos over the coming season now I have got the hang of using the GoPro. May try and mount a little higher on the chest next time though.

Was having a play on the river today when a few cheeky Perch decided to muscle their way on to the patch. Little did they know the cover they where using were my legs lol.

A massive thanks for Steve for letting us back again, I love this place Thanks to all those that made it possible, you can see how much effort you guys put in, the place looks immaculate. Fishing was hard but we managed to winkle out a tench of 6lb 8oz. A lovely plump fish and fought hard in the margins. We had plenty of bleeps on the alarms and dips on the float but for whatever reason the fish seemed to be always passing. I have put together a little video, 2mins. I will have to plan it abit more next time to capture the story a little better but hopefully it allows others to see the beauty of this magical place. Watch on youtube for the 1080 version

I couldnt resist and bought a GoPro. Still lots to learn but can see I will love it Shooting at 1080 60fps allows the video to be slowed down if required. Amazing fishing Have yet to have a "proper" barbel on the float like these.

Hopefully will inspire a few to get out, have been having a great time using lures on the local river.

Thanks to everyone involved in getting the fish-in up and running, the amount of work you lot go to for just for us to come and fish is immense and is very much appreciated. Congratulations to Errmm and his amazing Tench, built like a breeze block and can only imagine the fight. Made me smile when I heard someone shout with joy as I knew something special had been landed Can’t add too much but it’s safe to say me and my dad enjoyed the scenery, fishing and the wildlife. The first night we both manage to land fish, myself a Tench of 6lb 4oz and my Dad had an Eel of 2lb 4oz. The Tench fell for a hooked crammed with maggots the Eel to a bunch of worms. Sunday morning saw me awake at 0600 and my first cast with a Lobworm, hoping for a Perch saw a little jack Pike quickly landed. All went quiet for a rest of the day but was kept amused by a little Blackbird who kept begging me for some maggots, I just couldn’t say no Later on a Mallard decided, while I was taking a little nap, to help himself to my groundbait, the cheek! The last evening was quiet; my dad managed to catch another Eel on Worms, a little smaller than the last but saved a blank for both of us Woke up on Monday to find the rain lashing down, decided that we wouldn’t push our luck so packed up early to avoid getting soaked. Thanks Terry for coming to pick us up so early lol, saved us hauling it back on foot. Will finish with this picture of the sun setting over the lake, it was magical to say the least
