iPhone 3GS

Recommended Posts

My iPhone has had to be returned to O2 for the second time. They've told me, quite openly, that Apple will simply replace it again.

It really is the worst phone ever. I love it when it works, but have put up with all the problems for far too long. I need to fork out for another smart phone, I reckon, but what are the chances of getting O2 to end my contract early? :(

..........and then get a HTC.

My 15 year old daughter is gadget mad and knows her stuff.

She demanded a HTC HD mini, must be bomb proof, as after 8 months is still going strong

If a 15 year old girl cannot break and still loves her phone after 8 month, it must be good ;)

As to the contract Elton, O2 are one of the better players and you do have a track record! Faint heart never F***** fair maid and all??

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

Mine is still soldiering on. The wife offered to buy me a 4G for my birthday, but I've asked for a front splitter for the Elise instead (not 'cos I need the aerodynamic advantages, just 'cos it's a cheap way of tidying up where I crunched the chin in a car park pothole).

Oops!

I wish my phone was like yours. I've not even done anything naughty to it. In fact, I might treat the next one a bit rough and see if they like it :)

I've been asking around Elton and the seemingly the general consensus is that your contract supplier should provide a replacement telephone. They have BUT as they cannot provide a satisfactory replacement they should be liable to at least offer you a replacement phone at the same tariff if the move is OK for you. As the HTC or whatever will not be as expensive then it's up to you but certainly anyone I spoke to say O2 are the best at resolving problems? Don't know if Alan can add anything as obviously he is THE man who does know about such things?

As usual mate best of luck.

Always had a bit of a love / hate relationship with mine. It still works, of sorts (dreadful reception compared to the high end Nokias), having been thrown on more than a few occasions.

Just don't get a Blackberry. My girlfriend is on her fourth inside of twelve months! I did warn her, bless her. ;-)

The worst thing about an iphone is the ability to view Facebook on it.

PS. Please post this to your status and send it to ten of your friends. That way a starving child in Africa will eat Wimpy burgers for a week, and Wagner will win the 2011 X factor final. hugs

Maybe sending mine in for replacement was a good thing, anyway (got to look on the bright side). The reception seems to have deteriorated lately, to the point where 'No Service' was probably burnt into the screen.

I've had no problems with my iPhone and my wife too upgraded to one just before christmas. Ours are both the 3gs and the signal strength does seem to be worse than any other phone i've had - in the house, we quite often loose all signal, but to be fair we sometimes did with the previous Nokias and Sony Ericsons.

I even managed to drop mine in a cup of tea, and after quickly turning it off, and drying it out overnight, it seems none the worse.

Battery life isn't great but apparently the 4 is better for that, but it'll be at least a year before I think about upgrading again.

Rob.
