tench...how to catch

has anyone got any good techniques for catching tench, ie:- rigs and bait to use ?

Yup fish the lift method. My favourite tench bait and one that has worked very well for me this season are cockles (frozen one defrosted not the ones in vinegar). Fished in a cocktail with bronze maggot they have consistently outfished fellow anglers on a water where every one else used corn....
