With reference to what has been said in the JAGB topic, have any of you younger anglers any experiences to relate concerning angling coaching

via dad, other relation, friends, club Junior Organiser, or qualified angling instructor, I for one, would value your views on this very delicate situation.

 

For instance, would you or your parents prefer you to be coached by someone with a "qualification" or someone from your local angling club?

I am 16 next yr, and have had quite a few friends asking if i will take them fishing for carp at the private lake i fish.

I'm 43, going on 13 whenever I'm holding a fishing rod. Does that count?

Brian - I'm 16 now but when I first started fishing, was taught everything i know by my dad and his friends who were part of an angling club <well Bulmers' angling club> - I'd much prefer to be taught by someone I know, like I was, than to just be taught by someone because they are "qualified". Hope that's answered your question!! :confused:
