Spiderfan. - Sad News.

Recommended Posts

I took a call last night from my good friend Barry Norris who informed me that his best pal, Robbie has passed away suddenly at the age of forty six.

Robbie was known to many who read and post here as "Spiderfan".

It really brings it home to you when you receive this type of news and reinforces my own belief that you really must live your life and not just go through the motions.

Sincere condolences to Robbies family and friends.

That's no age to go is it? Very sad news.

That's absolutely terrible news.

It's saddening on one front because he was so young and I really feel for his family and personal friends.

It's also saddening to the many anglers on the internet who enjoyed his friendly contributions to their knowledge.

That is sad news indeed. The poor guy was just approaching the age when life begins to get a little bit easier for the majority of working people. My sincere commiserations to his family.

I second Chevins posting because I can sympathise with his point that life starts to get a little easier at that age, or sometimes a bit later. It is frightening, we are so fragile. Spiderfan, and others, deserve that break from the battlefield of life before nature starts to slow us down. I'm enjoying my break, I'm sorry Spiderfan missed it.

But it isn't just Spiderfan, angling has lost a few other good 'uns recently. Martin Gay 50 odd, Fred Wagstaff, not much older, early 60's. And ofcourse there are a few others whose input to AN was both appreciated and enjoyed. Yep, we shall miss 'em.
