"We as anglers are having a tough time of it at the moment, with all these anti-angling/hunting laws being pushed through parliment - the people against our beloved sport do not need ammunition - supplied by yourselves, on primtime national television. I am refereing to the break, your crew took on last nights show, where they went down to the local canal for a quick fish. Do they have EA rod licenses out of interest?. The handling of that poor Perch, was nothing short of barbaric, it's no wonder we get the bad press we do. Personally, I don't leave home without a unhooking mat, and all the right equipment for fish handling. In future, please show some consideration for myself, and the two million plus other people who do more for the environment that you will ever know, and give us fair coverage. (get John Wilson back on!)

I don't think thats abusive, do you?

i'm sure the people from diy sos wont have the faintest idea who john wilson is.

i think complaints like this would be best sent to the bbc duty log, rather than the specific program, the programs producers would probably just ignore it, but the duty log calls and emails get taken more seriously.

i'm just looking for the numbers and email addresses now but i cant find them, i'll keep looking, they're on the website somewhere

Awaar claims that the handling of the perch 'was barbaric', ummm, was that wise? If that was barbaric then what is livebaiting? What is hooking the fish in the first place? What is a deeply hooked fish, something that happens to all of us sooner or later? Seems like a rearrangement of 'shooting, self, foot, the, one's and in' are called for! :(

I'm not critiscising Awaar's intention, just his use of the term 'barbaric' in that context.
