Hi - does anyone know what is wrong with my tree and how to fix it please. I've lived over 21 years and never had problem with this tree before. It was pruned professionally this year, so maybe that had something to do with it?

It looks like mildew or another fungal infection. A good spray with Bordeaux mixture would probably help.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Grey Mould! Google it, very easy to get a bugger to get rid of! Mind you just seen Lid, what are you doing growing a WEED!! that is a weed from Holland if I am not mistaken?? Or in other words a SYCAMORE??

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Seen some bad attacks by scale insects as well this year on Acers.

 

Cool weather conditions for the time of year, had 3 blight alerts for Dorset already, wouldn't normally expect that till August.

 

Bring back summer.
