Silstar Match Rod

Recommended Posts

The last 3 months I have been using my fathers Silstar Match 360 rod. Kevlar DIA Flex. Probably 10 years old.

He now needs to use it himself and I cant find one anywhere.

This rod was great for silverfish. 12ft in length, super light, fast action really good sport with roach & perch above 1/2 pound.

Can anyone recommend a similar lightweight silverfish match rod? Max fish will be around 2lbs. Any info would be great.

06 Jaguar S Type 2.7 Twin Turbo V6D.

For that kind of work on the river I use the shakespeare mach 1 match rod. It is 13ft but you may be able to get a 12ft model. It is very good value for money IMO. I have the 5 piece travel version but i am almost certain there is a 3 or 2 piece version.

EDIT: Found one, New model here

Keep watching Ebay, they do come up from time to time and don't go for big money.
