Good Tackle Websites

Hello adrstuart, well where do we start?

I'm no carp expert but from what I can see the kit on offer is pretty budget-level stuff and not particularly well suited.

Firstly you say you want a carp outfit, the 10ft float rod is too short by three feet or so and the feeder rod not really suited to hard fighting carp. (I actually have one of these myself which was a gift and I wouldn't use it for carp) As for the pole I couldn't comment but don't expect much pole it will probably be heavy and sloppy.

The reel is cheap and the kit is basically a collection of mundane general coarse gear.

Perhaps you should determine a budget and decide whether you want a rod and reel or a pole set-up... presumably you are targetting commercial carp pools?

Then take a look through a magazine such as 'Improve your coarse fishing' or visit your local tackle shop and see what deals you can get.

You could do worse than Bennets of Sheffield (Bosfish.co.uk) or West midlands angling centre (WMAC.co.uk), Nimpopo.com, tacklebargains.co.uk there are loads of websites.

Good luck,

Our perception of time as an orderly sequence of regular ticks and tocks has no relevance here in the alternative dimension that is fishing....... C.Yates
