I dont know what you do for a living sonny but I have worked as a Joiner all over the country for the last 20 years! I have worked with Australians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Russians the list goes on! Have you ever been to places like Croydon? You can learn all you need to know about immigrants in a week first hand! Now then.....

Newt is right. The guy was charged money for not having a second license and then the court costs. If the guy actually showed up he may have been able to plead his case and maybe get a lowered fine. I don't know how the legal system works in the UK but here that fine could have possibly been reduced. So yeah the guy got what he deserved.

 

There are the same problems here that you guys have. Theives, and drug dealers usually get a slap on the wrist only because the jails are already too full. Maybe if the punishments were more severe ie Code of Hammurabi, mabey this might make a criminal think alittle before commiting a crime.
