I have a feeder rod which has a cork handle and two rings to slide either side of the reel to hold it in place. Can anyone tell me how to take the rings off and replace it with a 'proper' real seat. :confused: :confused:

There are many, Kleinboet, who would say that your existing two sliding rings set-up is a real reel seat !

How true; I absolutely refuse to buy any rod with a fixed reel seat!
