A good Waggler Rod

Dave H

Recommended Posts

i have just got back into fishing after 13 years (boy do things change). I walked into a tackle shop and was quite bewildered at the technical advances especially in baits and carp fishing.

I was always a float fisherman being still or river . I have still got a few bits and bobs left including a Shimano 3500 bait runner.

But no fishing rod so can anyone point me in the direction for a good waggler/float rod . A reasonable price and worth just getting back into the swing of things...Thanks

Good value for money can usually be found with the Shakespeare range I would start there

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical

minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which

holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd

by the clean end"

I have no problem with Normarks other than they tend to be out of the price range of nurses incomes :o

But Hawk did use the term 'reasonable price' and most of the Normarks tend to go for sums that would from my wages look rather less than reasonable.

Wealthy men like you Tigger are entitled to a different perspective :D

Not that I am jealous mind it's just that wherever I spit nothing will ever grow again!!!

Good lord reading this back makes me sound as tight as a.......................Yorkshireman :P

Alan, I think you may need to check your family tree out just incase :lol:

I've actually picked some normarks up of fleebay as cheap as you can buy a lot of budget rods. Several months back I bought a brand spanking Avenger MKII for seventy ripp's and a couple of weeks later bought another brand spankin rod (a Titan MKII) for exactly the same price.

Yes a Microlite went for only £60 on Fleabay last night,I agree with Alan that the Shakespeare range of medium priced match rods are good.I also like the waggler rods from MAP.If yout interested in good second hand Hawk let me know.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
