Dynamite tinned groundbait

Just opened a tin and used a third of it.What`s the best way,if possible,to store the rest considering I won`t be going again for a few weeks?

I split the groundbait in to a number of the zip-lock freezer bags, squeeze the air out, and keep them in the freezer until needed. It doesn't take long for it to defrost and will last ages in the freezer. I found that leaving it in the fridge in an air-tight container will only keep it fresh for a week or so before it starts to get mouldy.

Spot on advice Mr aanthony sir, you took the words right out of my mouth.

I had some in the summer and it kept for a few weeks in the fridge in a zip lok bag with all the air squeezed out.

It will keep for ages in the freezer compartment.
