Rosy Minnows ?

10 years back I bought a dozen or so fish sold as rosy minnows. They live in the pond and grow to up to around 3 inches, and are peach/orange coloured (very similar to golden orfe ). They behave as chiclids , the male protecting the young as they hatch under the lily pads and they breed without fail every year. Ive never seen these sold in the fish shops in my area again ...any ideas what these are ?

Yoxer,

Go onto the google search site & click on Robyn's Rosy red page, this will tell you everything.

Never seen any in my local area, they appear to be a popular U.S pond & aquarium fish though.

Would be interested if anybody knows of a supplier in this country.

Peter.

The loose lines gone..STRIKE.
