don't try it till your pond setup is right, i am hopeing one of mine was dead when i got him as he sure is now. welcome to A.N. by the way.

 

i got my swan mussels from the escot centre.

Not sure about the rules in different parts of the world, but they can be found in the wild. Dont take too many though, im told they take many years to grow.

Swan mussels need a good layer of silt to filter feed through, best in a natural pond set up which is not de-sludged each year.

 

If they pop their cloggs in a small pond remove them as they will contaminate the water very quickly.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM
